Over a period of years Steller and Moreland Energy Foundation have refined and enhanced Steller’s commitment to environmentally sustainable development in view of improved environmental performance outcomes, reducing operating costs to occupiers, improving occupier amenity whilst retaining and improving the capital value of all Steller projects. Our sustainability efforts include

SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM

Looking at the introduction of Solar Panel system of up to 10kW to assist in supplying power to the common areas of the complex, reducing body corporate fees and Greenhouse Gases. For each kW of Solar installed 1314kWh of electricity is saved each year, with a subsequent reduction in green house gas emissions of 1.7 tonnes C02-e per kW of installed solar.

ROOF RAINWATER COLLECTION

Where possible, placement of water tanks to utilise the full potential of rainwater for toilet flushing – reducing potable water consumption

ENERGY SAVING LIGHTING

Bright 11W highly efficient down lights throughout the apartments

  • Energy savings of up to 160%
  • Expected lifespan of 50,000 hours or more, lasting 25 times longer than a standard bulb

INSULATED CONCRETE SLAB

200mm – 400mm concrete slab with Thermal insulation exceed industry standards. The concrete mix we use to construct the building contains a level of recycled water which greatly reduced the embodied water of the concrete.

ACOUSTIC AND THERMAL BARRIERS

Acoustic & thermal barriers between both apartment dividing walls and ceilings further assist with sound reduction and insulation. Engineered by CSR and Marshall Day Acoustic Consultants specifically for Steller developments.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT AIR CONDITIONING

Mitsubishi or Fujitsu – Economical highly efficient air-conditioning units which are among the highest rating energy efficiency in their class built for premium apartment comfort all year round

DOUBLE GLAZED WINDOWS

Double glazed aluminium windows largely contributing in our efforts to work towards creating a 7 star average apartment rating resulting in a 28% reduction in heating and cooling costs as compared to a 6 star standard

CLEVER ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Clever architectural design allows a natural spread of daylight into all apartment bed rooms and living areas as well as main corridors and stairwells.
